Astra Linux Special Edition is a certified OS with built-in information security features (ISP) for working with confidential information.More information in Astra Linux documentation.

You can order Astra Linux OS installation service from us or purchase Astra Linux license and install the OS manually from its image on your server.We provide Astra Linux Special Edition OS of versions "Orel" 1.8 and "Voronezh" 1.8.

To install Astra Linux OS on several servers, order the OS installation service for each server.The service is not available for Chipcore Line servers.

If you no longer need the Astra Linux OS, cancel the service.

Cost

Access to installation of Astra Linux OS is paid together with the tariff plan of the dedicated server — more details in the instruction Additional services and compatible products for the dedicated server.

You can view the price in the control panel: in the top menu click Products → Dedicated Servers → Server page → Services tab → Available for order block.

Order Astra Linux OS installation service

  1. In the Control Panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

  2. In the Servers section, open the Server page → Services tab.

  3. In the Available for Order block, in the services row, click Pay.

  4. Read the information about the order and click Pay.After payment a ticket about the service order will be generated.

  5. If there is no OS on the server yet, Astra Linux will be installed automatically.If another OS is installed on the server, Selectel staff will arrange a time with you to install Astra Linux.

  6. Wait for a Selectel employee to reply in the ticket that Astra Linux is installed on your server.

  7. After the OS installation, a password will be generated to connect to the server.The password can be viewed in the control panel on the server page → Operating System tab .It is available for viewing 24 hours after the OS installation is complete.

Install Astra Linux OS

Astra Linux OS is installed by auto-installation, which is run by Selectel staff.The auto-installation of the OS will delete data on all disks.

You can request an Astra Linux OS installation if you have another OS installed on your server or need to reinstall Astra Linux.

  1. Create a ticket with a request to install Astra Linux.

  2. Agree on a time convenient for you to install the OS in the ticket.

  3. Optional: To avoid losing data on the server, save or back up your data before installing the OS.

  4. Wait for a Selectel employee to respond that Astra Linux is installed on your server.

  5. After the OS installation, a password will be generated to connect to the server.The password can be viewed in the control panel on the server page → Operating System tab .It is available for viewing 24 hours after the OS installation is complete.

Cancel the service

The service after the failure will be valid until the end of the paid period.During this period you can use Astra Linux OS, but by the end of the paid period another OS must be installed on the server.If by the end of the paid period Astra Linux OS will still be installed on the server, the service will be extended for the next period.

  1. Optional: if Astra Linux is installed on the server, install another OS.You can do it by auto-installation, manually from standard images or manually from your own image.

  2. In the Control Panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

  3. In the Servers section, open the Server page → Services tab.

  4. In the menu of the Astra Linux installation access service, click Disconnect service. A  ticket will be automatically generated to agree to cancel the service.

  5. If you still have Astra Linux installed on your server, a Selectel employee will specify a convenient time for you to install a different OS.Make sure you have saved data on the server.

  6. Wait for a Selectel employee to respond that the Astra Linux installation access service has been disabled.
