Astra Linux OS
Astra Linux Special Edition is a certified OS with built-in information security tools (SZI) for working with confidential information. Learn more in the Astra Linux documentation.
You can order the Astra Linux OS installation service from us, or you can purchase an Astra Linux license yourself and install the OS manually from your own image onto your server. We provide Astra Linux Special Edition versions "Orel" 1.8 and "Voronezh" 1.8
To install the Astra Linux OS on multiple servers, order the OS installation service for each server. The service is not available for Chipcore Line servers.
If you no longer need the Astra Linux OS, cancel the service.
Cost
Access to the Astra Linux OS installation is paid for along with your dedicated server plan — learn more in the Additional services and compatible products for dedicated servers guide.
You can view the cost in the control panel: in the top menu, click Products → Dedicated Servers → server page → Services tab → Available for order.
Ordering the Astra Linux OS installation service

In the control panel, from the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

In the Servers section, open the server page → Services.

In the Available for order block, in the service row, click Pay.

Review the order information and click Pay. After payment is made, a ticket will be created to order the service.

If there is no OS on the server yet, the Astra Linux OS will be installed automatically. If another OS is installed on the server, Selectel employees will coordinate a time with you for installing the Astra Linux OS.

Wait for a response in the ticket from a Selectel employee confirming that the Astra Linux OS has been installed on your server.

After the OS is installed, a password will be generated for server connection. View the password in the control panel on the server page → Operating System. It is available for viewing for 24 hours from when the OS installation finishes.
Installing Astra Linux OS
The Astra Linux OS is installed via an auto-installation process initiated by Selectel employees. Data on all disks will be deleted during automatic OS installation.
You can request the installation of the Astra Linux OS if your server is running a different OS or if you need to reinstall the Astra Linux OS.

Create a ticket requesting the installation of the Astra Linux OS.

Agree on a convenient time for the OS installation in the ticket.

Optional: to avoid data loss on the server, before installing the OS, save your data or create a backup.

Wait for a response from a Selectel employee confirming that the Astra Linux OS has been installed on your server.

After the OS is installed, a password will be generated for server connection. View the password in the control panel on the server page → Operating System. It is available for viewing for 24 hours from when the OS installation finishes.
Canceling the service
After cancellation, the service will remain active until the end of the paid period. You can continue using the Astra Linux OS during this period, but you must have a different OS installed on the server by the end of the paid period. If the Astra Linux OS is still installed on the server by the end of the paid period, the service will be renewed for the next period.

Optional: if Astra Linux OS is installed on the server, install a different OS. You can do this via auto-installation, manually from standard images, or manually from your own image.

In the control panel, from the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

In the Servers section, open the server page → Services.

In the menu for the Astra Linux OS installation access service, click Disable service. A ticket for coordinating the service cancellation will be created automatically.

If the Astra Linux OS is still installed on your server, a Selectel employee will clarify a convenient time for you to install a different OS. Ensure that you have saved your data on the server.

Wait for a response from a Selectel employee confirming that the access service for Astra Linux OS installation has been disabled.
