Additional services and compatible products for a dedicated server

Additional services are services that only work with a dedicated server. They cannot be ordered separately: they are tied to a specific server and expand its functionality.

Additional services

Additional services with a one-time fee and payment according to the server tariff plan can be ordered only after delivery of the dedicated server. The list of services may vary depending on the selected configuration.

Available to order:

additional services paid according to the server tariff plan;
additional services with their own billing period;
additional services with a one-time fee.

For daily server rental, only additional services with their own billing period can be ordered.

Additional services paid according to the server tariff plan

They are tied to the dedicated server tariff plan and are paid for together with it. You can view the connected services in the control panel in the menu Products → Dedicated servers → Servers → server page → tab Services.

Licensing and software rental	You can order: 1C licenses, control panels, and access to install Astra Linux OS. Services are provided for a specific dedicated server. You can order services in the control panel on the server page → tab Services → block Available services. The maximum license activation time is up to two business days
Increasing the guaranteed bandwidth/traffic consumption limit	Increases the bandwidth (in 10 Mbps increments) or traffic (in 3 TB increments) consumption limit. The limit is determined by the consumption model selected when ordering the server
Redundant connection (MC-LAG)	A service for servers whose configuration includes a network card with redundancy and MC-LAG. Increases the reliability of the server's Internet connection. The server is connected to a pair of independent switches via two different links with a specified data transfer speed

Additional services with their own billing period

These are billed according to the tariff plan selected when ordering the service. You can view connected services in the control panel in the Products → Dedicated Servers → Network → tab Services.

Additional IPv4 and IPv6 address blocks	Additional IPv4 and IPv6 address blocks
Announcing a PI IP address prefix	A service for owners of PI (Provider Independent) IP addresses. Announces the PI IP address prefix via the Selectel AS (Autonomous System)
Connecting via BGP	A service for owners of their own AS (Autonomous System). Establishes connectivity with the Selectel AS (Autonomous System) using a BGP connection

Additional services with a one-time fee

Charged only at the time the service is connected. They are not displayed in the connected services on the server page in the control panel.

One-time payment for exceeding bandwidth/traffic limits	A one-time payment for exceeding the bandwidth/traffic limit. The limit is determined by the consumption model selected when ordering the server
Temporary IP-KVM connection for Chipcore Line servers	Connection of a hardware IP-KVM for 3 hours. To order the service in the control panel, open the server page → tab Services → block Available services. When the service is ordered, a hardware IP-KVM will be connected to the server. We will send the connection details in a ticket. Read more about working with IP-KVM in the IP-KVM instructions. You cannot connect a hardware IP-KVM to servers that have a KVM console

Temporary IP-KVM connection for Chipcore Line servers

Connection of a hardware IP-KVM for 3 hours. To order the service in the control panel, open the server page → tab Services → block Available services. When the service is ordered, a hardware IP-KVM will be connected to the server. We will send the connection details in a ticket. Read more about working with IP-KVM in the IP-KVM instructions. You cannot connect a hardware IP-KVM to servers that have a KVM console

Paying for additional services

You can view the cost of additional services on selectel.ru or in the control panel in the Products → Dedicated Servers → Servers → server page → tab Services.

Additional services are paid from the main or bonus balance.

Depending on the type of service, it is paid:

on the day of the next payment for the dedicated server—services paid according to the server tariff plan;
on the day of the next payment for the service—services with their own billing period;
one-time—services with a one-time fee.

Paying for a service with server-based tariff plan payment

Services with tariff-plan-based payment are tied to the dedicated server's tariff plan and are renewed and paid automatically together with it.

For example, an additional service is connected mid-month (September 15), and the payment day for the dedicated server is at the end of the month (September 30). On the dedicated server payment day, the cost for a month of service use is deducted from the Main balance, then a recalculation will be performed, and the overpayment will be returned to the Main balance.

Services will continue to be charged until the dedicated server is terminated, even if there are insufficient funds in the balance. To stop the charges, disable the service.

Paying for a service with its own billing period

When ordering a service with its own payment period, you must select a tariff plan for it. The tariff plan determines the duration of the paid period and the payment amount. The first tariff period begins on the day the service is connected.

Actions performed on the dedicated server do not affect the status of services. To stop the charges, disable the service.

Paying for a service with a one-time fee

Services with a one-time fee are paid at the time of connection and are not automatically renewed.
