Place the equipment
Only servers that meet Selectel's colocation requirements can be placed:
- Terms of use for individual services: Equipment placement;
- Specifications. Placement of equipment with one power supply unit in a server rack;
- Specifications. Placement of equipment with two power supplies in a server rack.
If your equipment requires special accommodations, please create a ticket. A Selectel staff member will confirm the details and verify the technical feasibility of the location.
- Order equipment placement service.

- Deliver the equipment to the data center.
1. Order equipment placement service

In the control panel, from the top menu, click Products and select Equipment Placement.

Select a project.

Click Place Hardware.

Select a region and a pool segment.

Enter the serial number of the equipment - it will be indicated on the equipment acceptance certificate.

Select the format of the equipment layout.

Click Go to Checkout.

Select a payment period.
-
Check the final cost of equipment placement.

Confirm that you agree to the payment terms.

Click Pay.

Familiarize yourself with the ordering information.

Click Pay.

After payment, a ticket will be generated with information about preparation and placement of equipment in the data center and network settings. The paid period starts from the moment the equipment is installed in the rack and connected to the network. For traffic accounting the default traffic consumption model with fixed speed (100 Mbps channel and unlimited traffic) is applied. You can change the traffic consumption model after the equipment is installed.
2. Prepare documents and requisites
Two documents need to be signed to accommodate the equipment:
- The "Terms of Service" for your account type, if you are placing equipment for the first time. If you have previously signed the "Terms of Service" at the time of placement, you do not need to do so again;
- "Equipment Acceptance Certificate".
You can sign the documents in any way you like:
- in person at the data center during equipment transfer. The engineering department staff will prepare the documents for your arrival at the data center;
- through the electronic document management (EDI) system for business accounts. Make sure that all company details are filled in the control panel. You can change the company details if necessary;
- in advance on a hard copy. To do this, print out the documents, sign them in duplicate and hand them over together with the equipment.
The documents and details you need to prepare for equipment transfer depend on the type of account:
Personal account
Business account

passport of the person who is responsible for transferring the equipment to the data center and signing the documents;

If the equipment is transferred by a trusted person, a power of attorney on behalf of the customer and a copy of the customer's passport are required;

Equipment acceptance certificate. If you sign the act in advance, specify:
- user agreement number - this is your account number, can be viewed in the top right corner of your dashboard;
- user agreement date - this is the date of account registration. To find out the registration date, create a ticket.
Legal entity
Individual entrepreneur

passport of the person who is responsible for transferring the equipment to the data center and signing the documents;

if the equipment is transferred by a trusted person, a power of attorney is required on behalf of the general director;

seal of the organization, if the documents are signed on paper;

- user agreement date - this is the date of account registration. To find out the registration date, create a ticket.

3. Prepare equipment for placement

Configure the network interface on the server. You can see the parameters to configure in the ticket that was created in step 14 after the equipment placement order in step 1. ordering the equipment placement in step 1.

Enclose the server with a 19-inch enclosure mounting sled, power cords, and fasteners. We accept only Rackmount format equipment for placement.
4. Deliver the equipment to the data center
There are three ways to get a server to the data center:
- on your own;
- in a cab;
- by courier.
Addresses of data centers can be found on the Data Centers page on selectel.ru.
Receiving and installing equipment can take up to one day.

Coordinate the time of equipment delivery by creating a ticket. Our data centers are open 24 hours a day.

Bring with you the documents you prepared in step 2.

Deliver the equipment to the data center and hand it over to the engineering staff for installation work.

Wait for a Selectel employee to respond in the ticket that the server has been placed in the data center.

If this is your first time placing equipment in Selectel, you can take advantage of free cab delivery service. The delivery is made during business hours within the Moscow Ring Road in Moscow or within the Ring Road in St. Petersburg. The cab will pick you and your equipment up and after the server is transferred to the data center, the cab will take you to your office or home.

Wait for a Selectel employee to respond in the ticket that the server has been placed in the data center.
You pay for the courier service yourself.

Coordinate the time of equipment delivery by creating a ticket. Our data centers are open 24 hours a day.

If you signed the documents in Step 2 on a physical medium, transfer them in one of the following ways:
- send by registered mail. The addresses for receiving correspondence are listed in the Data Center Addresses subsection of the State Address System (FIAS);
- put in the box with the server when it is shipped.

Arrange for delivery of the equipment to the data center by courier service.

If you send the documents with the equipment or by registered mail, make sure the address in the control panel is correct. We will sign the documents and send your copies by registered mail.

Wait for a Selectel employee to respond in the ticket that the server has been placed in the data center.
