Give up the virtual firewall

Give up the virtual firewall

If you do not opt out of the firewall before the last day of the paid period, it will automatically renew and continue to be billed.

After disabling the firewall, the screen image rental charges will stop and all infrastructure protected by the firewall will be unavailable. To avoid an outage, reconfigure traffic to bypass the firewall in advance.

Cloud resources will continue to be charged based on the payment model and pricing of the cloud server or VMware-based private or public cloud. To avoid this, manually remove cloud resources that the firewall used — for example, server vCPU and RAM, public IP addresses.

Give up the virtual firewall

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Billing.
  2. Go to the Services section.
  3. Open the UserGate VE Certified Firewall service page.
  4. From the menu, select Disable Monthly Payment.
  5. Click Disconnect payment. The firewall will run until the end of the paid period, at which time you can renew the service.

Resume service

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Billing.
  2. Go to the Services section.
  3. Open the UserGate VE Certified Firewall service page.
  4. If the service status is anything other than Active, you cannot resume the service. Re-order the firewall and perform the configuration.
  5. If the service status is Active, select Enable Monthly Payment from the menu.
  6. Click Enable Payment. The first payment will be charged when the remaining paid period ends.
