Payment model and pricing for hardware firewalls
Balance
Depending on the type of balances in the account, a unified balance or main balance is used for payment.
You can pay for a firewall with different types of funds: basic funds and compensation bonuses from Selectel.
Before paying, top up your balance.
Payment model
When ordering a hardware firewall, a billing option is set, which determines the duration of the paid period and the payment amount. The payment day is set on the day the firewall is provisioned, and the first paid period begins at that time.
You can view the payment day, payment amount, and paid period duration in the control panel: on the top menu, click Products → Servers and Equipment → Firewalls → firewall page → Services tab. You can change the billing option and payment day.
When the paid period ends, the firewall is automatically renewed for the same period.
Payment is debited as a one-time payment for the entire period. When paying, bonuses are debited first, followed by basic funds. The amount of a single-type fund deduction is a multiple of the firewall's daily cost.
For example, a firewall costs 54 000 ₽/month, one day costs 1 800 ₽. Suppose you have 60 000 ₽ of basic funds, and 4 000 ₽ in bonuses. Then, when renewing the service, 3 600 ₽ will be debited from bonuses first, and then 50 400 ₽ from basic funds.
If you no longer need the firewall, cancel it. When canceling the service, you can get a refund for full unused months; to do this, create a ticket.
Change billing option and payment day

In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

Go to the Firewalls section.

In the menu of the firewall, select Change billing option and payment day. By default, the payment day is the day the firewall was provisioned. If the firewall was ordered on the first, but provisioned on the third, the payment day will be the third.

Select a new billing option.

Optional: enter a new payment day.

Click Save changes. The current payment day will not change. The payment day will change only in the next period.
Resource blocking if there are insufficient funds on the balance
If there are insufficient funds on the balance at the moment of debiting for full payment, the firewall will be extended and continue to be charged daily.
After four days, access to the local network and the internet is blocked for the firewall, and the protected infrastructure behind the firewall becomes inaccessible from the internet. After 10 days, the service is deleted and cannot be restored.
Holidays and weekends are not included in the calculation.
If there are insufficient funds on the balance for a daily payment, the firewall will be charged on credit. The debt does not expire after the firewall is deleted.
For example, the next payment for your firewall costing 54 000 ₽/month is July 11, 2023. If there are insufficient funds in your account, the daily cost of the server will be calculated and debited upon renewal — 54 000 ₽ ÷ 31 days = 1 732 ₽. Payment will be debited daily until the balance has enough to cover the full amount (minus the already paid days). If no payment is received, after four days, access to the local network and the internet will be blocked for the firewall. After 10 days, the firewall will be deleted without the possibility of restoration.
If payments take a long time to process or you are unable to top up your balance, legal entities can request a balance top-up deferment for up to five days.
