Balance
Depending on the balance type in your account, either a unified balance or a primary balance is used for payment.
You can pay for a firewall using different types of funds: basic funds and compensation bonuses from Selectel.
Before paying, top up your balance.
Payment model
Virtual firewalls are billed monthly according to a pricing plan that determines the payment amount. The billing day is set when the firewall image is transferred via ticket, which also marks the beginning of the first paid month.
When renting a virtual firewall, you additionally pay for the cloud resources used by the firewall, such as vCPU, RAM, public IP addresses, and external traffic.
Payment for cloud resources where the firewall is deployed is not included in the firewall pricing plan. Funds are deducted hourly based on the pay-as-you-go model at the following rates:
You can view the latest payment date and the monthly payment amount in the control panel: in the top menu, click Billing → Services.
When a paid month ends, the firewall is automatically renewed for another month. If the firewall is no longer needed, cancel it.
Blocking resources when the balance is insufficient
If there are insufficient funds in your balance to pay for cloud resources, the resources are blocked and the firewall stops working. If you do not top up your balance within 14 days, the cloud server on which the firewall is deployed will be deleted without the possibility of recovery.
If there are insufficient funds to cover the full payment according to the plan at the time of the charge, the firewall will continue to work. We will send you a ticket reminding you to top up your balance.
If funds take a long time to arrive or you are unable to top up your balance, legal entities can request a balance top-up deferral of up to five days.
Pricing
The rental cost of a virtual firewall depends on the selected model and the connection of a fault-tolerant cluster of two firewalls.
Firewall rental prices can be found at selectel.ru. If there is no suitable configuration on the website, create a ticket to have the price calculated.
