Balance
Depending on the balance type in the account, payment is made from the unified balance or main balance.
You can pay for a firewall with different fund types: main funds and compensation bonuses from Selectel.
Before paying, top up the balance.
Payment model
Virtual firewalls are billed monthly according to a pricing plan that determines the payment amount. The billing day is set when the firewall image is transferred in a ticket, and the first paid month begins at that time.
When renting a virtual firewall, you additionally pay for cloud resources used by the firewall — for example, vCPU, RAM, public IP addresses, external traffic.
Payment for cloud resources where the firewall is deployed is not included in the firewall pricing plan. Funds are deducted hourly based on a pay-as-you-go model at the following prices:
You can check the last payment date and monthly payment amount in the control panel: in the top menu, click Billing → Services.
When the paid month ends, the firewall is automatically renewed for another month. If you no longer need the firewall, cancel it.
Blocking resources when the balance is insufficient
If there are insufficient funds in your balance to pay for cloud resources, the resources are blocked and the firewall stops working. If you do not top up your balance within 14 days, the cloud server on which the firewall is deployed will be deleted and cannot be recovered.
If there are insufficient funds in your balance to cover the full plan payment at the time of the deduction, the firewall will continue to work. We will send a ticket reminding you to top up your balance.
If a payment takes a long time or you cannot top up your balance, legal entities can request a deferred payment for up to five days.
Pricing
The rental cost of a virtual firewall depends on the selected model and the connection of a fault-tolerant cluster of two firewalls.
You can check firewall rental prices on selectel.ru. If there is no suitable configuration on the website, create a ticket to calculate the price.
