Add a virtual server to the balancer

  1. From the Control Panel, open the Cloud Director panel: from the top menu, click ProductsVMware-based CloudCloud Director.

  2. Open the virtual data center page.

  3. Go to NetworkingEdges.

  4. Open the page of the desired Edge.

  5. Press SERVICES.

  6. Open the Load BalancerVirtual Servers tab.

  7. Press +.

  8. Enable the Enable Virtual Server toggle switch.

  9. Select Application Profile.

  10. Enter the name of the virtual server.

  11. Enter the IP address to which the virtual server will accept requests.

  12. Select a protocol.

  13. Enter the port.

  14. Optional: select a pool of servers. If the Round Robin balancing algorithm was selected during pool configuration and the Weight parameter for each server is equal to one, each next request will be processed by the next server in the pool.

  15. Optional: In the Connection Limit field, specify the maximum number of simultaneous connections that the virtual server can handle.

  16. Optional: In the Connection Rate Limit (CPS) field, specify the maximum number of new incoming requests per second.

  17. Optional: In the Edge Gateway console, verify that the balancer status is UP:
