Add a virtual server to a load balancer

From the control panel, open the Cloud Director panel: in the top menu, click Products → Cloud based on VMware → the Cloud Director section.

Open the virtual data center page.

Go to the Networking → Edges section.

Open the page of the required Edge.

Click SERVICES.

Open the Load Balancer → Virtual Servers tab.

Click +.

Turn on the Enable Virtual Server switch.

Select an Application Profile.

Enter a name for the virtual server.

Enter the IP address where the virtual server will receive requests.

Select a protocol.

Enter a port.

Optional: select a server pool. If the Round Robin balancing algorithm was selected when configuring the pool, and the Weight parameter for each server is equal to one, then each subsequent request will be processed by the next server in the pool.

Optional: in the Connection Limit field, specify the maximum number of concurrent connections that the virtual server can handle.

Optional: in the Connection Rate Limit (CPS) field, specify the maximum number of new incoming requests per second.

Optional: in the Edge Gateway console, verify that the load balancer status is
UP:Show service loadbalancer pool
