Connect the image to the server

Connect the image to the server via Lantronix IP-KVM

The image you want to mount must be hosted on your local computer.

  1. Make sure that the type of IP-KVM that is connected to your server is a Lantronix IP-KVM. You can see the IP-KVM type on the service order ticket.
  2. Connect to the server via IP-KVM in Java mode.
  3. Click .
  4. Click Connect ISO.
  5. Select the image you want to download.
  6. Click Open. Wait for the image to load.
  7. If you want to install an OS from a mounted image on the server, reboot the server. To do this, press the key combination Strl+Alt+Delete, the server will be restarted.

Connect the image to the server via PI-KVM

The image you want to mount must be hosted on your local computer or on another server.

  1. Make sure that the type of IP-KVM that is connected to your server is PI-KVM. You can see the IP-KVM type on the service order ticket.
  2. Connect to the server via PI-KVM in HTML5 mode.
  3. Go to the Drive section.
  4. In the Drive mode field, select Flash.
  5. Click Select image to upload.
  6. If you are downloading the image from a local computer, click Choose File.
  7. Select the image you want to download.
  8. If you are uploading an image from another server, click Select image to upload. In the Or paste a URL field, paste a link to the image.
  9. Click Upload. Wait for the image to upload.
  10. In the Image field, select the image you downloaded in step 7.
  11. Click Connect drive to Server.
  12. If you want to install an OS from a mounted image on the server, reboot the server. To do this, go to the Shortcuts section and press the key combination Stll+Alt+Delete. The server will be rebooted.
