Disable automatic backup of cloud server network disks

There are several ways to disable automatic scheduled backups:

  • stop the plan — The plan and its settings will be saved and backup creation will stop. The plan can be turned on later;
  • disconnect the plan from the disk — The plan will stop creating backups of a specific disk. You can connect the disk to the plan later;
  • delete plan — The plan will no longer be backed up and cannot be restored.

Stop the plan

If you need to temporarily stop backups from a plan and still keep its settings, stop the plan from running.

Previously created backups will be saved. The plan can be enabled later.

  1. In the dashboard, on the top menu, click Products and select Cloud Servers.
  2. Go to the Backups section.
  3. Open the Plans tab.
  4. From the menu of the plan, select Stop Execution.
  5. Click Stop Execution.
  6. Optional: to re-enable the plan, select Resume Execution from the menu of the plan .

Disconnect the plan from the disk

You can disconnect the plan from a particular disk — it will no longer be backed up.

Previously created backups will be saved. The plan can be enabled later.

If the plan is enabled for multiple disks and you disable the plan from one, the plan continues to work for the remaining disks.

  1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Cloud Servers.
  2. Go to the Disks section.
  3. Open the disk page → Backup Plans tab.
  4. From the menu of the plan, select Disable Plan .
  5. Click Disconnect Plan.

Delete plan

Once the plan is deleted, backups will no longer be created for it.

Previously created backups will be saved.

  1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Cloud Servers.
  2. Go to the Backups section.
  3. Open the Plans tab.
  4. From the menu of the plan, select Delete Plan.
