Change the retention period for logs

You can change the retention period of logs through the control panel. When the period expires, the logs are deleted. The default log retention period is 30 days.

  1. In the dashboard, on the top menu, click Products and select Logs.

  2. Go to the Logs section.

  3. From the menu of the log group, select Change log retention period.

  4. Select the number of days for which the group logs will be stored. Note that the retention period is always counted from the date when the logs appear. If the new retention period is shorter than the number of days the logs have already been stored in the service, the logs will be deleted within a day.

  5. Optional: if you need to change the retention period for logs of multiple groups:

    5.1 Check the Apply to other group checkbox.

    5.2 Select the groups for which you want to change the log retention period.

  6. Enter the name of the log group.

  7. Click Save.
