Connect Cyber Backup

1. Order services

  1. In the dashboard, on the top menu, click Products and select Cyber Backup Cloud.

  2. Click Connect.

  3. Select a service:

    • if you plan to use a large number of backup agents, select Cyber Backup Cloud (Repository) Backup Storage service in the desired region - licenses for agents will be unlimited, space in the repository will be charged;
    • if the number of agents is small, select the Cyber Backup Cloud (Devices) service for the required device - each license and storage capacity will be charged. The price for storage will be lower than for the Cyber Backup Cloud (Repository) service.
  4. If you have selected the Cyber Backup Cloud (Repository) Copy Storage service, specify the storage capacity.

  5. If you have selected the Cyber Backup Cloud (Devices) service for the right device:

    5.1 Specify the number of licenses.

    5.2 Select the region to store the copies.

    5.3 Specify the storage capacity.

  6. Click Order. We will connect the service and send the connection data in a ticket.

2. Download Agent

  1. Authorize in the Cyber Backup panel with the data we sent in the ticket.
  2. Go to the Devices section.
  3. Press + Add.
  4. Select the device type. If you want to protect an Active Directory, MS SQL or MS Exchange server, select the device in the Applications block and Windows OS.
  5. Wait for the agent installation file to be downloaded to the device.
  6. If you downloaded the installation file to the wrong device you plan to protect, transfer the file to the correct device.

3. Install an agent

  1. Run the installation file on the machine you will be backing up.

  2. Click Install. Wait for the agent to be installed.

  3. Click Register Machine. You will be redirected to the Cyber Backup panel. The registration code will be substituted automatically. You can view the registration code later using the command:

    %ProgramFiles%\BackupClient\RegisterAgentTool\register_agent.exe -o register -t cloud –a https://ru01-cloud.cyberprotect.ru -u <username> -p <password>

    Specify <username> and <password> as the credentials in the Cyber Backup panel.

  4. In the Register for an account field, select an account.

  5. Select your account and click Verify CodeConfirm Registration.

  6. Optional: if you have closed the agent, you can add the code manually under DevicesAddRegister by code block → Register.

4. Create a defense plan

  1. In the Cyber Backup panel, go to DevicesAll Devices.
  2. Mark the machines for which you want to create a protection plan.
  3. Click ProtectCreate Plan.
  4. Optional: change the name of the plan.
  5. Configure the protection plan and backup plan settings. The actual startup of the protection plan may be delayed up to 30 minutes due to load balancing.
  6. If you want to protect Active Directory, MS SQL or MS Exchange server, click Backup Application, turn on the toggle switch and click OK.
  7. Click Create.
