Connect Cyber Backup
1. Order a service

Create a ticket with a request to activate the Cyber Backup service. Specify in the ticket:
- agent type (server, virtual machine, or workstation);
- number of agents (devices);
- backup storage region — St. Petersburg or Moscow. The agent will be bound to the selected region, backups to two regions cannot be performed by one agent;
- amount of space in the cloud for backups;
- the e-mail address to which the data will be sent.

We will connect the service and send the connection details in a ticket.
2. Download Agent
- Authorize in the Cyber Backup panel with the data we sent in the ticket.
- Go to the Devices section.
- Press + Add.
- Select the device type. If you want to protect an Active Directory, MS SQL or MS Exchange server, select the device in the Applications block and Windows OS.
- Wait for the agent installation file to be downloaded to the device.
- If you downloaded the installation file to the wrong device you plan to protect, transfer the file to the correct device.
3. Install an agent

Run the installation file on the machine you will be backing up.

Click Install. Wait for the agent to be installed.

Click Register Machine. You will be redirected to the Cyber Backup panel. The registration code will be substituted automatically. You can view the registration code later using the command:

<username>and<password>as the credentials in the Cyber Backup panel. -
In the Register for an account field, select an account.

Select your account and click Verify Code → Confirm Registration.

Optional: if you have closed the agent, you can add the code manually under Devices → Add → Register by code block → Register.

In the Cyber Backup panel, go to the Devices section and click Add.

In the Registration Token block, click Create → Generate Token. The token will be displayed in the Generated Token box.

Copy the enrollment token.

Add permission to run the installer file:
sudo chmod +x <agent_file>Specify
<agent_file>is the name of the installer file. -
Start the installation:
sudo <agent_file>Specify
<agent_file>is the name of the installer file. -
Select Agent for Linux and confirm the installation of the missing packages. Learn more about the required packages in the Linux Packages instructions of the Cyber Backup Cloud documentation.
Within a few minutes, the machine will appear on the Devices tab.
4. Create a defense plan
Create a new plan
Apply the existing plan
- In the Cyber Backup panel, go to Devices → All Devices.
- Mark the machines for which you want to create a protection plan.
- Click Protect → Create Plan.
- Optional: change the name of the plan.
- Configure the protection plan and backup plan settings. The actual startup of the protection plan may be delayed up to 30 minutes due to load balancing.
- If you want to protect Active Directory, MS SQL or MS Exchange server, click Backup Application, turn on the toggle switch and click OK.
- Click Create.
- In the Cyber Backup panel, go to Devices → All Devices.
- Mark the machines to which you want to apply the protection plan.
- In the line with the protection plan, click Apply.
