Configure virtual IP addresses

Virtual IP addresses are used to configure multiple IP addresses from different subnets (including private addresses) on a single network interface.

Example of creating a Virtual IP as a secondary IP.

  2. Check connectivity.

  2. Press Add.

  3. Enter the basic parameters for Virtual IP:

    • Type — IP Alias;
    • Interface — the network interface on which the configuration is performed;
    • Address(es) — The IP address that is used as the secondary IP.
  4. Press Save.

  5. Click Apply Changes to apply the configuration.

Check connectivity

  1. In GUI, in the main menu, go to DiagnosticsPing.

  2. Enter the network interface parameters of one of the devices:

    • Hostname — IP address;
    • IP Protocol;
    • Source address — IP address that is used as secondary IP.
  3. Press Ping.

  4. Make sure there is cohesiveness. If there is no connectivity, check the Virtual IP settings.
