Restore from backup

When recovering from network disk backups A new disk with the same type and capacity as the original disk is created.

Backup recovery time depends on the backup size. For example, a 100 GB backup will be restored in 11 minutes. During recovery, the network disk for which the backup was created will be in the status of RESTORING-BACKUP.

You cannot restore from a backup to the original disk or to a new cloud server. You can restore a recovered disk cloud server or create a new server from it.

In control panel go to Cloud platform → Disks.
On the menu. of the disk, select Recover disk from backup.
Select a restore point — this is the point in time at which the backup was created.
Enter the name of the new disk.
Click Create a disk.
