Restore a network drive from backup
Restore a network drive from backup
Restoring from network disk backups creates a new disk with the same type and capacity as the original disk.
Backup recovery time depends on the backup size. For example, a 100 GB backup will be restored in 11 minutes. During recovery, the network disk for which the backup was created will be in the RESTORING-BACKUP
status.
You cannot restore from a backup to the original disk or to a new cloud server. You can connect the recovered disk to a cloud server or create a new server from it.
- In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Cloud Servers.
- Go to the Disks section.
- From the menu of the disk, select Recover disk from backup.
- Select a restore point — this is the point in time at which the backup was created.
- Enter the name of the new disk.
- Click Create Disk.
