Disable automatic backup creation

There are several ways to disable automatic scheduled backups:

  • stop-plan — the plan and its settings will be saved and backup creation will stop. The plan can be incorporated at a later date;
  • disable-plan-for-disk — this plan will stop creating backups of a specific disk. You can connect the disk to the plan at a later date;
  • delete-plan — this plan will stop creating backups, the plan cannot be restored.

Stop the plan

If you need to temporarily stop backups from a plan and still keep its settings, stop the plan from running.

Previously created backups will be saved. The plan can be incorporated at a later date.

  1. In Control Panel, go to Cloud PlatformBackups.
  2. Open the Plans tab.
  3. From the plan menu ( ), select Stop Execution.
  4. Optional: To re-enable the plan, from the plan menu ( ), select Enable Plan.

Disconnect the plan from the disk

You can disconnect the plan from a particular disk — it will no longer be backed up.

Previously created backups will be saved. The plan can be incorporated at a later date.

If the plan is enabled for multiple disks and you disable the plan from one, the plan continues to work for the remaining disks.

  1. In Control Panel, go to Cloud PlatformDisks.
  2. From the menu ( ) of the drive, select Set up backups.
  3. On the plan line, click Disable.

Delete plan

Once the plan is deleted, backups will no longer be created for it.

Previously created backups will be saved.

  1. In Control Panel, go to Cloud PlatformBackups.
  2. Open the Plans tab.
  3. From the ( ) menu of the plan, select Delete Plan.
