Delegate the domain to a third-party hosting service

When you register a domain with Selectel or transfer it to Selectel from another registrar, management of the domain's resource records is automatically delegated to Selectel's DNS hosting. If you want to manage domain resource records through a third-party DNS hosting service, you need to delegate the domain — change the domain's NS servers to the NS servers of that hosting service.

Change NS servers

  1. In the Control Panel, in the top menu, click Products and select Domains.

  2. Open the Active Domains tab.

  3. From the menu of the domain, select Change NS Servers.

  4. Enter the names of the NS servers, you must specify at least two servers.

  5. Optional: If you want to specify another NS server, click Add NS Server and enter its name.

  6. Click Save. The changes will propagate to caching servers for 72 hours.
