# Activate Vulnerability Scanner

Scanning is performed in the first week of the month. If you need to perform scanning on other days of the month, please specify this in a ticket when connecting the service.

1. In the [Control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/security/vulnerability_scanner/), on the top menu, click **Products** and select **Vulnerability Scanner**.

2. Click **Select service**.

3. In the **Vulnerability Scanner** row, click **Order**.

4. Enter public IP addresses to scan. You can specify:

   * IPv4 addresses;
   * IPv6 addresses;
   * subnets in CIDR format, for example `198.51.100.0/29`.

5. Specify the number of addresses to scan.

6. Click **Order**.

7. We will create and send a ticket to confirm the order details and provide the service activation timeline.
