Manage virtual data center users

When you create a virtual data center, a user with the administrator role is automatically created. You can create additional users и give them access to virtual data centers.

Create a user⁠

  1. From control panels open the Cloud Director panel: VMware-based cloud → Cloud Director.
  2. Log in to Cloud Director with an administrator account. To view the administrator credentials and reset the password, go to control panels: VMware-based cloud → Users.
  3. Open the tab Administration.
  4. Go to the section Access Control → Users.
  5. Click New.
  6. Enter the user's name, password, and role. A user with the Organization Administrator role always has access to all data centers in the organization.
  7. Click Save. The new user is displayed in control panels on the tab Users.

Grant user access to the virtual data center⁠

  1. В control panels go to VMware-based cloud → Users.
  2. In the user card, open the tab Access to virtual data centers.
  3. In the row with the virtual data center you want to grant access to, turn on the toggle switch.

Change user password⁠

  1. В control panels go to VMware-based cloud → Users.
  2. In the user card, open the tab Password.
  3. Enter a new password or press Generate.
  4. Copy or memorize the password. Once the password is saved, it cannot be viewed.
  5. Click Save.
