Manage Direct Connected subnets
A Direct Connected subnet is a public subnet to which virtual machines directly connect and obtain IP addresses from this network, without using an Edge router.
A Direct Connected subnet can contain from 5 to 253 IPv4 addresses. The limit on Direct Connected subnets is five per organization. To increase the limit, file a ticket.
Create a Direct Connected subnet
- In control panel go to VMware-based cloud.
- Open the tab Virtual data centers.
- Open the virtual data center page.
- Open the tab Direct Connected subnets.
- Click Create a DC subnet.
- Select the size of the subnet.
- Click Create.
Delete Direct Connected subnet
Before removing the Direct Connected subnet in the Cloud Director pane, disconnect all virtual machines and vApps from it.
- In control panel go to VMware-based cloud.
- Open the tab Virtual data centers.
- Open the virtual data center page → tab Direct Connected subnets.
- On the subnet line, click .
- Enter the subnet address to confirm the deletion.
- Click Delete.
