Add a virtual server

  1. From control panels open the Cloud Director panel: VMware-based cloudCloud Director.

  2. Open the virtual data center page.

  3. Go to the section NetworkingEdges.

  4. Open the page of the desired Edge.

  5. Click SERVICES.

  6. Open the tab Load BalancerVirtual Servers.

  7. Click +.

  8. Turn on the toggle switch Enable Virtual Server.

  9. Select Application Profile.

  10. Enter the name of the virtual server.

  11. Enter the IP address to which the virtual server will accept requests.

  12. Select a protocol.

  13. Enter the port.

  14. Optional: select server pool. If the Round Robin balancing algorithm was selected during pool configuration, and the parameter Weight for each server is equal to one, then each next request will be processed by the next server in the pool.

  15. Optional: in the field Connection Limit Specify the maximum number of simultaneous connections that the virtual server can handle.

  16. Optional: in the field Connection Rate Limit (CPS) specify the maximum number of new incoming requests per second.

  17. Optional: In the Edge Gateway console, verify that the balancer status indicates UP:
