Restart VDS server
Two types of VDS server reboots are available:
- soft reboot without power-off;
- hard reboot with power-off.
Perform a soft reboot
The server will reboot without power loss. The operating system will shut down correctly and start again.
If the server does not respond within a fixed time, a hard reboot will be performed automatically — in this case, unsaved data may be lost.

In the Control panel, in the top menu, click Products and select VDS servers.

In the server menu, select Soft reboot.
Perform a hard reboot
We recommend performing a hard reboot only if the server is not responding. In all other cases, shut down and turn on the server.
During a hard reboot, the server shuts down and immediately turns back on — in this case, unsaved data may be lost.
