Product Description Veeam Cloud Connect Cloud Repository
Veeam Cloud Connect allows you to store backups of virtual machines, servers, workstations in a backup repository in Selectel infrastructure. Veeam Cloud Connect repository data is stored in the St. Petersburg region in Availability Zone 2.
To connect Veeam Cloud Connect, you must have your own license of Veeam Backup & Replication™ (except for the free version), Veeam Availability Suite, or another Veeam edition that enables Veeam® Agent. Supported versions of Veeam Cloud Connect are 9.5 Update 4b and higher.
Technical implementation
To ensure fault tolerance, backup data is stored in three copies on different physical disks. To improve availability, all Veeam infrastructure elements are either redundant or deployed in fault-tolerant virtualization environments. You can use SSL encryption for data transmission and AES encryption for storage.
All hosts use:
- Intel processors and SSD disks;
- Enterprise SATA HDD manufactured by HGST.
Channel speed to Veeam Backup & Replication™ servers is unlimited. The network is built on 10GbE interfaces.
In a cloud repository, clients are isolated from each other and only have access to their backups.
