Hosted server networks

You can view a list of hosted server networks in control panel on the server page → Network tab.

Hosted servers can be connected to:

  • public network (Internet, external network),
  • private network (local area network).

Hosted servers are given one public IPv4 address from a shared subnet by default. Other clients' servers are also on the shared subnet. To obtain additional IP addresses, order a dedicated subnet and configure it. For a dedicated subnet, you can connect basic-firewall for free.

Private networks do not have access to the Internet and are used to connect servers to each other inside the data center. To organize a private network between servers that are hosted in the same pool, specify the same VLAN on the local port of each server. To organize a private network between servers in different pools and/or with other Selectel products, use Selectel Global Router.

If you have your own AS (standalone system) with a dedicated block of IP addresses, it can be announced to the Internet via Selectel equipment. To do this, connect the BGP Connection service.

You can connect to a third-party service provider as part of the FOCL service.
