# Product Description Colocation

Equipment is located in one of the [pools](/infrastructure/locations.mdx#pool) of our Tier III reliability data centers. Read more about data center technical specifications on the [Data Centers](https://selectel.ru/about/data-centers/) page on selectel.ru.

You can:

* [place a server](#placing-server)
* [rent a server rack](#rack-rental)
* [rent server space](#placing-non-standard-equipment)

Selectel provides:

* guaranteed communication channel with high bandwidth;
* uninterrupted power supply;
* optimal climatic conditions (air conditioning and ventilation system);
* physical safety of the hardware.

You can maintain your equipment independently or have Selectel engineers do it. For the [Rack Rental](https://selectel.ru/services/colocation/server-rack/) service, a basic level of remote hardware maintenance is included in the price (hardware inspection and setup, diagnostics, component replacement, and inventory).

To have your placed hardware maintained by Selectel engineering and technical department specialists, order the [additional service](/server-colocation/about/additional-services.mdx) **Remote Hardware Maintenance**. You can view the types of maintenance work and current prices on the [Colocation](https://selectel.ru/services/colocation/server-colocation/) and [Rack Rental](https://selectel.ru/services/colocation/server-rack/) service pages on the website.

To maintain your placed equipment yourself, you can connect to it via [IP-KVM](/server-colocation/manage/ip-kvm.mdx) or [rent an additional dedicated port](/server-colocation/manage/additional-ports.mdx) on network equipment. If you want to visit the data center, [create a ticket](https://my.selectel.ru/tickets/create/) to coordinate the date and time of your visit.

## Colocation \{#placing-server}

The [Colocation](https://selectel.ru/services/colocation/server-colocation/) service includes:

* hardware installation in the rack and its connection;
* unlimited 100 Mbit/s or 1 Gbit/s channel + 30 TB of free traffic per month;
* one public IPv4 address;
* IP-KVM connection on request. 10 hours of IP-KVM usage per month is provided free of charge;
* 24/7 technical support;
* dedicated power of 400 W per device. You can increase the power or connect a second power supply unit; find more details in the [Additional Services](/server-colocation/about/additional-services.mdx) manual;
* additional power outlet;
* switching the server on, off, and restarting it on request.

### Colocation of non-standard equipment \{#placing-non-standard-equipment}

Special services are provided for customers placing power-intensive equipment:

* allocating additional power per outlet;
* providing additional electrical outlets for connecting backup server power supply units.

## Rack Rental \{#rack-rental}

The [Rack Rental](https://selectel.ru/services/colocation/server-rack/) service includes:

* up to 47 units for standard servers;
* 24/7 technical support;
* dedicated power up to 5 kVA per rack (the exact value is specified in the service name on the [website](https://selectel.ru/services/colocation/server-rack/));
* basic level of remote hardware maintenance — hardware inspection and setup, diagnostics, component replacement, and inventory;
* lock for protection against unauthorized access.
