General information about the open port monitoring service

For your information

The service is in beta testing mode.

The Open Port Monitoring service allows you to monitor open ports on IP addresses. The service can only be managed via API.

You can connect monitoring for IP addresses that are assigned to the dedicated servers, installed equipment, firewalls, cloud platform objects (cloud servers, balancers, databases etc.), and for PI IP addresses that you announce through Selectel equipment.

Principle of operation

You add IP addresses to the service to monitor and mark the ports that should be open.

The service daily scans ports of added IP-addresses at 9:00 and 18:00 (UTC+3). If a new open port without a mark is detected during scanning, a report about it is immediately sent to the e-mail specified during account registration. If no new open ports are detected, the report will not be sent.

If the port is still open and unchecked on the next scan, you will receive a reminder about the port at 12:00 (UTC+3).

You can also connect the service's notifications in Telegram.

If you want to perform scans more often than twice a day, file a ticket with a task description, and we'll look into that possibility.

Cost

The service is free of charge during the beta testing period.
