Connect GOST VPN

  1. Check that a ViPNet network is organized at the external site.
  2. Order a service.
  3. Set up an encrypted channel.

1. Check the ViPNet network at the external site⁠

Make sure that the site you want to connect to the infrastructure in Selectel has a ViPNet network organized using suitable equipment. You may engage one of the official partners of the ViPNet manufacturer to select, purchase equipment and set up the [ViPNet](https://infotecs.ru/partners/?filter %5B p-type %5D %5B %5D =4 & filter %5B p-status %5D %5B %5D =3 & PAGEN_1=1) network.

2. Order service⁠

  1. In the control panel, click Products in the top menu and select GOST VPN.

  2. Click Select GOST VPN.

  3. If the ViPNet Coordinator model you need is not on the list, create a ticket. Specify in the ticket:

    • ViPNet network number — this can be viewed in the ViPNet Network Control Center program;
    • task description — what you need the encrypted channel for, for example, to connect external clients to a service in Selectel;
    • the planned number of interconnections;
    • whether it is necessary to organize a high availability cluster of two ViPNet Coordinator devices.

  4. If the desired ViPNet Coordinator HW model is on the list, click Order.

  5. Enter the number of the ViPNet network at the external site, the network number can be viewed in the ViPNet Network Management Center software under Network Information.

  6. Describe the task, for example: connect external clients to a service in Selectel.

  7. Specify the number of interconnections.

  8. If you want to connect a cluster of two ViPNet Coordinator HW devices, check the High Availability Cluster checkbox. The cluster increases the fault tolerance of the service. If you do not connect a High Availability Cluster, Selectel will not compensate for service unavailability according to the GOST VPN Terms of Service.

  9. Click Order. We will create a ticket, in it we will specify details for further work on organizing the connection.

3. Set up an encrypted channel⁠

  1. Wait for a notification in the ticket that we are ready to accept the data to create an encrypted channel.
  2. Create the internetwork information file and the internetwork master key, use the instructions Initiating internetwork communication in the ViPNet Administrator 4 manual.
  3. Write the created data to removable media.
  4. Please deliver the removable media with data to Selectel office in person or via Spetsvyaz service. No special conditions are required for delivery via the Spetsvyaz service. The addresses of Selectel offices can be found at selectel.ru in the Contacts section.
  5. We will import the data from the media on our side and generate a file with the inter-network response information. The file with the inter-network response information will be transmitted in the way you choose — in a service order ticket or on your media.
  6. Import the received interconnect information file, for this purpose use the instructions Receiving interconnect response information in the ViPNet Administrator 4 manual.
  7. In the service order ticket, please specify the networks from which you will be accessing the ViPNet network. We will configure routing to these networks and allow traffic in the rules on ViPNet Coordinator HW on our side.
