Customize Q-in-Q
1. Enable Q-in-Q on the switch port
Q-in-Q can only be enabled for a private network.
When Q-in-Q is enabled, there may be a brief private network down time for servers on the selected VLAN.
- Create a ticket In the ticket, specify the VLAN numbers, which can be viewed in the control panel. control panel: in the top menu click Products → Dedicated Servers → Network → tab VLAN.
- In the ticket created, wait for a Selectel employee to respond that Q-in-Q is enabled.
2. Configure Q-in-Q on the Selectel firewall
- Connect to the Selectel firewall through the GUI.
- From the Interfaces menu, go to Assignments.
- Open the QinQs tab.
- Press + Add.
- In the Parent Interface field, select the interface to which the Q-in-Q will be configured.
- Enter the VLAN number in the First level tag field. You can view it in the Control Panel: from the top menu, click Products → Dedicated Servers → Network → VLAN tab.
- In the Tag(s) field, enter the tag for the VLAN, a number from 1 to 4094.
- Click Save.
- Open the Interfaces Assignments tab.
- Click in the row of the desired interface Q-in-Q + Add.
- Click the name of the Q-in-Q interface you added.
- Change the interface settings.
- Click Save.
- Create permissive rules for the interface.
