# Change the bucket type

You can change the bucket type from public to private and vice versa.

1. In the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/storage/), in the top menu click **Products** and select **S3**.
2. Go to the **Buckets** section.
3. Open the bucket page → **Configuration** tab.
4. Click **Edit**.
5. In the **Bucket type** block, change the type.
6. Click **Save**.
