Methods for connecting Public Cloud to a global router

Last update:

The VMware-based cloud can be connected to the Selectel Global Router to route traffic at the L3 level between public cloud virtual machines and other Selectel products.

You can configure connectivity using one of three scenarios. In each scenario, a subnet will be created in the public cloud, but the connectivity management options will differ.

The speed between the public cloud and the Global Router is limited to 1 Gbps. To increase the bandwidth, create a ticket.

1. New subnet for connecting virtual machines without a client Edge router2. Transit subnet added to the client Edge router with configured static routes3. Public cloud transit subnet with the subnet added to the client Edge router and a configured BGP session
