Manage Edge router IP addresses
IP addresses are assigned to an Edge router and used to access the virtual data center from external networks, for example, from the internet.
An Edge router is always created with a base IP address.
The IP address limit is shared across the entire organization and is set to 20 addresses. To increase the limit, create a ticket.
Add an IP address
- In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select VMware-based Cloud.
- Go to the Virtual Data Centers section.
- Open the Virtual Data Center page → the Edge Routers tab.
- In the Edge router card, open the IP addresses block.
- Click Add IP address.
- Specify the number of IP addresses to be added.
- Click Add.
Remove an IP address
You can only remove IP addresses that you have added manually. The base IP address cannot be removed.
- In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select VMware-based Cloud.
- Go to the Virtual Data Centers section.
- Open the Virtual Data Center page → the Edge Routers tab.
- In the Edge router card, open the IP addresses block.
- In the row with the IP address, click .
- Enter the IP address to confirm.
- Click Remove.
