Manage PTR records

A PTR record, or reverse resource record, allows you to assign a name (domain) to an IP address. For example, mail servers check the PTR record of the sender's IP address.

Add PTR record

  1. In the Control Panel, on the top menu, click Products and select IP Addresses.
  2. From the IP address menu, select Add PTR.
  3. Enter a domain name (of the form example.com).
  4. Click Save.

Change PTR record

  1. In the Control Panel, on the top menu, click Products and select IP Addresses.
  2. From the IP address menu, select Edit PTR.
  3. Enter a new domain name (of the form example.com).
  4. Click Save.

Delete PTR record

  1. In the Control Panel, on the top menu, click Products and select IP Addresses.
  2. From the IP address menu, select Delete PTR.
  3. Click Delete.
