Register a domain

Domain in .ru and .rf zones is registered for one year, at the end of the registration period the domain must be renewed. By default, auto-renewal is enabled for the domain: if there are enough funds on the balance, the fee for the next year is deducted 60 days before the end of the registration period. You can disable auto-renewal and renew the domain manually.

A domain can be registered to an individual, including an individual entrepreneur, or to a legal entity.

Natural person (including sole proprietorships)
Legal entity

In the Control Panel, in the top menu, click Products and select Domains.
Make sure you are in the right project.
Click Register a domain.
Enter a keyword to search for a domain — in Latin for .ru, in Cyrillic for .rf.
Click Check Availability.

Suitable domains will be displayed in the search results. If the domain can be registered, the domain card will be marked ACCESSIBLE. If the domain is busy, you can view the contact for contacting its administrator, more details in the Check Domain via Whois instruction.
In the domain card, click Register. Until you have completed the registration and paid for the domain, the domain is available for registration to other customers.
If you have already entered administrator information for another domain, click Select Administrator, select an administrator from the list, and go to step 11.
If you need to enter the details of a new administrator, click New Administrator.
Select the type of administrator — Individual (including sole proprietorships).
Enter the administrator's information:

10.1.Enter contact information: country of citizenship, email, phone number, full name (as indicated in the passport), TIN.

10.2.Enter the details of the identity document:
- for residents of the Russian Federation — passport data: series and number, date of issue, date of birth, by whom issued;
- for non-residents of the Russian Federation — passport or ID-card data: number and date of birth.
10.3.Enter the registration address: postal code, name of the settlement, region, street, house and apartment.
Check the box I agree to the processing of personal data in accordance with the Policy.
Check the final price of the domain.
Click Register a domain for.... It will appear in the Domains section.

When domain registration is completed, the domain status will change to ACTIVE. You will receive a notification about this to the domain administrator email you entered in step 10.1.
Management of domain resource records is automatically delegated to Selectel DNS hosting. If you want to use Selectel DNS hosting, create a zone and add resource records. If you want to manage domain resource records through another hosting service, delegate the domain.

Select the administrator type — Legal Entity.
Enter the administrator's information:

10.1.Enter contact information: country of registration, email, phone number.

10.2.Enter the organization data: name, Latin name (if the main name is in Cyrillic), TIN.

10.3.Enter the legal address: postal code, name of the settlement, region, street, house and apartment.

10.4.Enter the postal address: postal code, name of the settlement, region, street, house and apartment.
Check the box I agree to the processing of personal data in accordance with the Policy.
Check the final price of the domain.
Click Register a domain for.... It will appear in the Domains section.
