  2. Coordinate with the operator to connect to its equipment in the Selectel infrastructure.

  3. Check with the operator:

    • coordinates of the equipment in the Selectel data center;
    • optional: if you plan to use the service to connect the Internet from the operator — the address of the public subnet that will be added to the VLAN by the operator.
  4. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Direct Connect.

  5. Open the Physical Port tab.

  6. Click Order Services.

  7. Select the region and pool where the operator's equipment is located.

  8. VLAN ID — Leave the field blank.

  9. Select the bandwidth of the connection — 1 or 10 Gbps. The bandwidth determines the type of equipment used to organize the connectivity.

  10. Optional: if a redundant connection is required, check the MC-LAG redundant connection checkbox.

  11. Enter the name of the service provider.

  12. Optional: enter any additional information about the connection. For example, the desired crossing type (copper or optical), connector type, operator coordinates for the connection — server room and rack number.

  13. Click Order. We will create and send a ticket, in it we will specify details for further organization of connection.

  14. When the connection is negotiated, a port will be allocated on the Selectel switch for the cross connect from the selected carrier. The VLAN with this port will appear in the control panel: from the top menu, click ProductsDedicated ServersNetworkVLAN tab . We will provide the number of this VLAN in the service order ticket.

  15. Configure the connection to the operator's channel depending on the purpose of using the service:
