Connect Direct Connect — logical port

  1. Make sure you have created and configured a private network through the global router.

  2. Rent a communication channel from a partner operator — RETN, MSK-IX, Yandex.

  3. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Direct Connect.

  4. Open the Logical Port tab.

  5. Click Order Services.

  6. Select operator — RETN, MSK-IX, Yandex.

  7. Optional: enter information about the connection point on the operator side — cabinet number, equipment ID, port number, connector type, transceiver type. You request this data yourself from the operator. If you have not yet started coordinating the connection with the operator, leave the field blank.

  8. Optional: Enter the VLAN ID from the operator's side. You request this data from the operator yourself. If you have not yet started coordinating the connection with the operator, leave the field blank.

  9. Select the bandwidth — 1 or 10 Gbps.

  10. Specify additional information about the connection:

    • if you have multiple global routers — the ID of the router you used to organize the network in step 1. You can view the ID in the control panel: from the top menu, click Products → Global Router → Router page;
    • A private subnet of dimension at least /29 to be used to connect the operator to your global router. The subnet must not overlap with other private networks on the selected router.

  11. Click Order.

  12. You will receive an automated ticket after your order. Wait for a Selectel employee to respond to this ticket. He will clarify the details and give detailed instructions on how to further organize the connection. Selectel will take up to three working days to set up the connection.
