Source Schilding
Shielding reduces the load on the source server by reducing the number of requests from CDN servers.
If shilding is enabled for a source, requests do not go directly to the source, but are accumulated on an intermediate shilding server. The shilding server caches content from the source and gives it to CDN servers. The source is only accessed if the file is not in the shilding server's cache.
Cost
The cost of source shilding for a single resource is 5,000 ₽ per month. The united-balance or storage-and-CDN balance is used to pay for the service depending on the balance type in the account. When ordering the service, the payment for the first period is deducted from the balance, further payments are deducted automatically on the first day of each month.
Enable source shilding
By default, a shilding server located in Moscow (MMTS-9) is connected. If you need a shilding server in another region, create a ticket without ordering the service in the control panel. In the ticket, specify the name of the CDN resource and the desired region.
- In Control Panel, go to CDN → CDN Resources.
- Open the CDN resource page → Settings tab.
- Turn on the shilding.
- Press Add.
- Click Save. Schilding will start working within 30 minutes.
