General information about the Network Equipment Rental service

Network Equipment Rental is the rental of dedicated equipment for building a network infrastructure isolated from other customers to meet individual requirements.

Available for order:

  • 48-port 100Base-TX switch;
  • 48-port 1000Base-T switch;
  • 48-port 10GBase-X (SFP+) switch;
  • other network equipment to meet your requirements.

All equipment available for rental has been researched and tested by Selectel specialists.

Use cases

  • build an infrastructure isolated from other customers;
  • organize a network without a connection to the Internet or a local network. In this case, an unused port can be used to provide redundancy for the network in use;
  • use specific settings, for example, RDMA;
  • fully manage your own network independently;
  • meet any security requirements, for example, internal policy or government requirements;
  • build a spine-leaf architecture and organize your own cloud based on dedicated servers;
  • increase infrastructure fault tolerance.

Areas of responsibility

Selectel is responsible for uninterruptible power supply, climate control, service maintenance, and connection to the local network and the Internet.

Selectel is not responsible for the configuration and administration of the equipment.

Depending on the type of balance in your account, payment is made using a unified balance or main balance. You can pay for the rental service using different payment methods: main funds, bonuses.

When ordering equipment, a one-month tariff plan is set for it. After a month, the equipment rental is automatically renewed. If you no longer need the equipment, disable the service.
