Mobile Farm: Quick Start

Last update:
  1. Add a device.
  2. Start testing.
  3. Finish working with the device.

1. Add a device

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Mobile Farm.

  2. Go to the Devices section.

  3. Click Add device.

  4. Select the number of devices you need.

  5. If you need a device that is not in the list, create a ticket, and we will consider adding it.

  6. In the Price block, select the billing period:

    • per-minute;
    • hourly;
    • 1-month subscription.
  7. Read the Terms of Use for individual services: Mobile Farm document.

  8. Select the I accept the Mobile Farm rental terms and understand that I need to delete the device to stop charges checkbox.

  9. Click Add. The devices will be ready for use when their status changes to ACTIVE.

2. Start testing

We do not recommend:

  • disable USB Debugging mode;
  • remove the MFService app.

If you have performed one of these actions by mistake, data from the device will stop being transmitted to your screen, and it will become inaccessible. To resume working with the device, create a ticket.

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Mobile Farm.
  2. Go to the Devices section.
  3. In the device row, click the device manufacturer and model. For other users of your mobile farm, the device will have the status BUSY — they will not be able to use this device.
  4. Open the Applications tab.
  5. Select the application file or drag and drop it into the upload area. The application will appear in the device management window.
  6. Optional: to speed up the stream, reduce the video quality on the toolbar above the device management window. The default value is 80%.

3. Finish working with the device

When you have finished testing the application on a mobile device, finish working with it so that the device becomes available to other Mobile Farm users.

After finishing your work, all installed applications will remain on the device. If necessary, delete them yourself before finishing work with the device. Screenshots and logs will be automatically deleted.

To finish working with the device, navigate to another page. For example, return to the mobile farm device page.

If you and other Mobile Farm users no longer plan to use the device, you can delete it.
