General information about Managed Services

Managed Services are a group of services for configuring, optimizing, and supporting software. These services are aimed at maintaining the performance of services and web applications deployed on Selectel infrastructure or in third-party data centers.

Services are provided by the Selectel managed services team. The team includes DevOps engineers, information systems architects, and system administrators.

The engagement process and service levels are defined in the SLA.

Managed Services

Basic administration

The service includes:

  • incident resolution;
  • service configuration changes with preliminary assessment and consultation regarding requested changes;
  • backup creation and restoration from working backups;
  • user account and access rights control;
  • network and firewall administration;
  • 24/7 proactive monitoring;
  • support for both individual services (websites, databases, 1C) and the entire corporate infrastructure.

DevOps as a Service

The service includes:

  • logging setup, including correct log collection and storage optimization (Grafana Loki, ELK);
  • storage setup (DCS), including configuration management, backup, clustering (redis, PERCONA, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and DCS: etcd, Consul);
  • load balancer configuration and maintenance (HAProxy, nginx);
  • orchestration system setup, deployment, and configuration maintenance (GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker);
  • helm chart development and refactoring, CI/CD pipeline consultation (werf, HELM);
  • message queue setup, including configuration management, backup, and clustering (kafka, RabbitMQ);
  • infrastructure as code (IaC) description, deployment, and management using configuration management systems (Terraform, Ansible).

Database Administrator

Supported DBMS: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Timescale, GreenPlum.

The service includes:

  • database access and configuration management;
  • 24/7 monitoring;
  • query execution audit and optimization;
  • troubleshooting and failure analysis;
  • database service update installation;
  • cluster resource management.

Security Tools Administration

The service includes:

  • 24/7 monitoring;
  • troubleshooting and failure resolution;
  • firewall policy configuration;
  • NAT rule configuration;
  • routing configuration;
  • network configuration backups;
  • software updates;
  • log analysis for vulnerability detection;
  • VPN connection configuration;
  • security tool high-availability configuration;
  • data link layer (VLAN) switching configuration.

Project Migration to Selectel

The service includes:

  • analysis and evaluation of the project being migrated from a third-party data center or local infrastructure;
  • selection of an infrastructure solution in Selectel;
  • migration technical specifications preparation;
  • execution of migration tasks;
  • performance and network connectivity testing.

The cost of the "Project Migration" and "Database Administrator" services is calculated individually. For the "Project Migration" service, the cost is determined based on the analysis and complexity assessment of the project being migrated. Project migration may be performed free of charge.
