# Add node group labels in a Managed Kubernetes cluster

Labels help distinguish nodes in one group from nodes in another when working via [kubectl](/managed-kubernetes/clusters/connect-to-cluster.mdx).

1. In the [Control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/mks/), on the top menu, click **Products** and select **Managed Kubernetes**.

2. In the **Clusters** section, open the cluster page → **Cluster Composition** tab.}]}\`\`\` (Wait, the source structure has the word.

3. In the node group menu <MoreVerticalIcon /> select **Manage labels**.

4. Enter the label key.

5. Enter the label value.

6. Optional: to add an additional taint, click **Add** and repeat steps 4–6.

7. Click **Save**.
