Managed Kubernetes payment and pricing model

Managed Kubernetes can run:

Balance

To pay for Cloud Platform resources, depending on the balance type in the account, the unified balance or Cloud Platform balance is used.

You can pay for resources using different types of funds: main funds, bonuses.

Before paying, top up the balance.

Payment model

Cloud Platform uses the pay-as-you-go billing model. Every hour, funds are deducted from the balance for the previous hour of using Cloud Platform resources, and external traffic is also paid for.

For more information about payment, see the document Terms of Service for Individual Services: Kubernetes Cluster.

Traffic

Internal traffic

Internal traffic is incoming and outgoing traffic between a Cloud Platform object or a dedicated server and another Selectel product, such as S3.

Traffic between projects and pools of the Selectel Cloud Platform is also considered internal.

Internal traffic (both incoming and outgoing) is free of charge.

External traffic

External traffic is incoming and outgoing traffic between the public IP address of a Cloud Platform object and a public IP address on the internet. In Managed Kubernetes clusters on cloud and dedicated servers, all external traffic is routed through the public IP address of the cloud router. The rest of the traffic is considered internal.

3 TB of free external traffic is provided each month for all projects within a single Cloud Platform account. After using the free 3 TB, external traffic is charged according to the Cloud Platform billing model.

By default, Selectel basic DDoS protection is enabled for the Cloud Platform. Malicious filtered DDoS traffic is not counted in consumption and is not billed.

View Cloud Platform resource consumption

You can view the current cost of all cloud infrastructure, consumption, and payment for infrastructure and external traffic in the control panel: in the top menu, click Products → Cloud Servers → Platform Consumption section.

Current cost

Current cost is the amount of money that the current cloud infrastructure configuration consumes over a specific period of time.

You can view the current cost in the control panel: in the top menu, click Products → Cloud Servers → Platform Consumption → Current Cost tab.

You can view the current cost of specific projects, resources, and pools by hour, day, or month.

Infrastructure cost data is updated every hour. In the Control panel, it is displayed 5–35 minutes after the actual changes to the infrastructure and its cost. Recently deleted resources may continue to be displayed in the Control panel until the next data update. However, resource billing stops from the hour following their deletion.

Consumption and billing charts

You can view infrastructure consumption and payment charts in the control panel: in the top menu, click Products → Cloud Servers → Platform Consumption → Expense Chart tab → Consumed and Paid tabs.

You can view the consumption of specific projects, objects, resources, regions, and pools. Consumption and billing charts can be viewed for a specific time period or sorted by days, weeks, months, or years.

To export consumption and payment details in .csv format, click Download CSV and select how rows will be grouped in the export (by hours, days, weeks, months, years).

All resource suspensions are displayed on consumption charts and payment charts.

Traffic

You can view external traffic consumption for the current month in the control panel: in the top menu, click Products → Cloud Servers → Platform Consumption → External Traffic tab.

To export hourly consumption details for external and internal traffic across all public IP addresses of the account in .csv format, select a period and click Download CSV. You can only export details for the last three months.

Resource suspension in case of insufficient funds

If there are insufficient funds on your balance at the time of charge, all Cloud Platform resources will be automatically suspended — while charges for them will continue to accrue.

To restore access to resources, you must top up your balance with the amount of debt within 14 days after suspension. The debt for resources billed during the suspension period will be automatically cleared. Projects are not suspended — you can delete the entire project or resources via the API.

If you do not top up your balance with the debt amount within 14 days after suspension, all Cloud Platform resources will be deleted. Projects will not be deleted.

To avoid missing balance top-ups, you can configure balance notifications.

Prices

Prices for Cloud Platform resources and dedicated servers can be viewed on selectel.ru. Prices across pools may vary.

You can calculate the cost of a Managed Kubernetes cluster in the resource calculator.

Accounting documents

After payment, you can receive accounting documents.
