Connect GOST VPN Remote Access

1. Order the GOST VPN service

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select GOST VPN.

  2. Click Select GOST VPN.

  3. If the model of ViPNet Coordinator you need is not in the list, create a ticket. In the ticket, specify:

    • ViPNet network number — you can find it in the ViPNet Network Management Center software;
    • task description — why you need an encrypted channel, for example, to connect your employees to your infrastructure in Selectel;
    • planned number of inter-network connections;
    • whether you need to organize a high-availability cluster consisting of two ViPNet Coordinator devices.

  4. If the required ViPNet Coordinator HW model is in the list, click Order.

  5. Describe your task, for example: organize remote connection to your infrastructure in Selectel.

  6. Specify the number of inter-network connections.

  7. If you want to connect a cluster of two ViPNet Coordinator HW devices, select the High Availability Cluster checkbox. The cluster increases service fault tolerance. If you do not connect a high availability cluster, Selectel will not compensate for service unavailability according to the GOST VPN Service Terms of Use.

  8. Click Order. A ticket with order information will be created automatically.

  9. Wait for a response from a Selectel employee; they will clarify the details for further connection setup.

2. Sign a contract with our partner

As part of service preparation, we will put you in touch with our partner to sign a contract for the installation and administration of ViPNet Client information security tools. The partner will prepare the necessary hardware and software, provide you with the ViPNet Client ID, and then transfer the inter-network master key and inter-network information to Selectel.

3. Set up an encrypted channel

  1. In the service order ticket, provide the ViPNet Client ID and the necessary access details for connection setup that you received when signing the contract with our partner.

  2. Wait for a response in the ticket from a Selectel employee confirming that we have set up connectivity between the ViPNet Coordinator in Selectel and the partner's ViPNet Client.
