Connect to a UserGate firewall

You can manage your firewall through the graphical or console interface.

Graphical interface

1. Open the following page in your browser:

   https://<ip_address>:8001

   Specify <ip_address> — the IP address of the firewall.

2. Enter your username and password.

Console interface

You can connect to the firewall via SSH.

1. Open your CLI.

2. Connect to the firewall:

   ssh <username>@<ip_address> -p 2222

   Specify:

   • <username> — username;
   • <ip_address> — the IP address of the firewall.

3. Enter your password.

View the IP address for connecting to the firewall

Hardware firewall

Check the IP address in the ticket that was created when ordering the firewall.

Virtual firewall

Use the IP address you assigned when setting up the firewall.

To view the address:

• for a virtual machine in a private or public VMware cloud — in the Control Panel in the top menu click Products → VMware-based Cloud → Cloud Director → data center page → virtual machine page → Hardware section → NICs. In the NIC 0 row copy the value in the IP Address;
• for a cloud server — in the Control Panel in the top menu click Products → Cloud Servers → Servers → server page → Ports tab. In the internet port row copy the value in the Public IP field. If this field is empty, copy the value in the IP address.
