Connect to the UserGate firewall

You can manage the firewall through graphical and console interfaces.

Graphical interface

1. Open the page in your browser:

   https://<ip_address>:8001

   Specify <ip_address> - The IP address of the firewall.

2. Enter your username and password.

Console interface

You can connect to the firewall using the SSH protocol.

1. Open the CLI.

2. Connect to the firewall:

   ssh <username>@<ip_address> -p 2222

   Specify:

   • <username> - login;
   • <ip_address> - IP address of the firewall.

3. Enter your password.

View the IP address to connect to the firewall

Hardware firewall

Look for the IP address in the ticket that was created when the firewall was ordered.

Virtual firewall

Use the IP address you assigned when you configured the firewall.

To see the address:

• for a virtual machine in a VMware private or public cloud - in the control panel, in the top menu, click Products → VMware-based cloud → Cloud Director → Cloud Director → data center page → virtual machine page → Hardware → NICs. In the NIC 0 row, copy the value in the IP Address field;
• for a cloud server - in the control panel in the top menu, click Products → Cloud Servers → Servers → Server → Server page → Ports tab . In the Internet port row, copy the value in the Public IP field . If this field is empty, copy the value in the IP Address field.
