# Create a VLAN

1. [Connect to the Selectel firewall through the graphical interface](/firewalls/selectel/connect-to-firewall.mdx#connect-to-firewall-through-gui).
2. In the **Interfaces** menu, go to the **Assignments**.
3. Open the **VLANs** tab.
4. Click **+ Add**.
5. In the **Parent Interface** field, select the interface to which the VLAN will be assigned.
6. In the **VLAN Tag** field, enter a tag for the VLAN—a number from 1 to 4094.
7. Click **Save** → **Apply Changes**.
