# Add static routes

If you create a static route for a WAN interface, access to the firewall will be lost. If you have lost access to the firewall, create a [ticket](https://my.selectel.ru/tickets/create).

1. [Connect to the Selectel firewall via the graphical interface](/firewalls/selectel/connect-to-firewall.mdx#connect-to-firewall-through-gui).
2. In the **System** menu, go to the **Routing**.
3. Open the **Gateways** tab → **Gateways**.
4. Click **+ Add**.
5. Configure the parameters of the gateway that will be used for the static route.
6. Click **Save**.
7. Open the **Static Routes**.
8. Click **Add**.
9. Configure the static route parameters.
10. Click **Save** → **Apply Changes**.
