Order a hardware firewall

  1. Order a firewall.
  2. Order a subnet.
  3. Get access to a firewall.

1. Order a firewall

  1. In the control panel, in the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

  2. Go to the Firewalls section.

  3. Click Order a firewall.

  4. Select a region and pool.

  5. Select a firewall model. Available device models may vary by pool. If the required model is not available in the selected pool, create a ticket specifying the pool and model, and we will inform you about the availability and lead time.

  6. Select the VLAN to which you want to connect the firewall. If you do not have a VLAN, it will be created automatically.

  7. Select which subnet to protect with the firewall:

    • existing — select Select existing subnet and choose a subnet from the list;
    • or a new one — select Create a new subnet and order a subnet after paying for the firewall.
  8. Optional: if you would like to inform us of specific firewall configuration requirements or other important information, enter it in the Comment field.

  9. Select a billing period.

  10. Click Pay.

  11. Review the details and click Pay for service. Once payment is made, a service order ticket will be generated.

2. Order a subnet

If when ordering a firewall you selected Create a new subnet in step 6, the dedicated subnet order page will open after payment.

  1. On the dedicated subnet order page, in the Service block, select dedicated servers.
  2. In the Pool block, select the region and pool you specified when ordering the firewall in step 3.
  3. In the VLAN block, select the VLAN you specified when ordering the firewall in step 5.
  4. Select a billing period.
  5. Click Pay.
  6. Go to the ticket that was created after paying for the firewall and state that you have ordered a new subnet.

3. Get access to a firewall

We will provide the connection details for the firewall in a ticket — IP address, username, and password. The maximum lead time for firewall access is five business days. If the firewall is being connected to an existing network, a Selectel employee will perform the preliminary configuration and coordinate the connection time with you in the ticket. The downtime will not exceed 15 seconds.
