Resize file storage

Once you increase the size of the file storage, it cannot be decreased. After you increase the storage, the tariff will change: we will refund the unused days of the previous tariff and charge for the new one.

This instruction describes how to resize file storage created in the Control panel after June 13, 2023.

If you created the file storage via technical support before June 13, 2023, to resize the storage create a ticket and specify the new storage size in it.

Control panel

1. Unmount the file storage from the server.

2. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select File Storage.

3. Open the file storage page → Settings tab.

4. In the Size field, click Change.

5. Specify the size of the file storage.

6. Check the price of the file storage. After you increase the storage, the tariff will change: we will refund the unused days of the previous tariff and charge for the new one.

7. Click .

8. Mount the file storage back to the server.

OpenStack API

1. Unmount the file storage from the server.

2. Get an IAM token for your project (X-Auth-Token).

3. In the request output, copy the X-Subject-Token value.

4. Open the CLI.

5. Resize the file storage:

   Specify:

   • <pool> — pool in which the file storage is created, for example, ru-9. The address (URL) depends on the region and pool; you can view it in the list of URLs;
   • <filestorage_uuid> — file storage ID. You can find the ID in the Control panel: on the top menu, click Products and select File Storage → in the row with the required storage, click ;
   • <x_auth_token> — IAM token for the project, which you copied in step 2;
   • <filestorage_size> — new file storage size in GB, for example, 150. The volume limit is 50 TB.

6. Mount the file storage back to the server.
