# VMware-based Disaster Recovery Payment Model and Prices

## Balance \{#balance}

To pay for VMware-based disaster recovery (DRaaS), depending on the account balance type, either a [unified balance](/balance-and-payments/balance.mdx#united-balance) or a [VMware-based cloud balance](/balance-and-payments/balance.mdx#balances-by-service-type) is used.

You can pay for the public cloud with different [types of funds](/balance-and-payments/balance.mdx): basic funds or bonuses.

Before ordering or setting up disaster recovery, [top up your balance](/balance-and-payments/manage/top-up-balance.mdx).

To ensure there is always enough money in your balance, you can configure [balance notifications](/balance-and-payments/manage/balance-notifications.mdx) and [automatic balance top-ups](/balance-and-payments/manage/scheduled-payments.mdx).

## Payment Model \{#payment-model}

DRaaS is billed using the pay-as-you-go model — each hour, the amount for [consumed public cloud resources](#view-consumption) where replicated virtual machines are hosted is deducted. Billing starts from the moment the virtual data center is created.

DRaaS is billed for as long as replicated virtual machines are stored in the Selectel cloud, even if they are turned off. For turned-off machines, you are charged 30% of the cost of vCPU and RAM, while other resources are charged at full price.

To stop payment, disable replication and [delete the virtual data center](/public-cloud/manage-public-cloud/delete-virtual-data-center/).

## Block resources if there is not enough money in the balance \{#insufficient-balance}

If there is not enough money in the balance to pay for consumed resources, access to the virtual data center is suspended. However, public cloud resources (vCPU, RAM, disks, Edge gateways, IP addresses, Direct Connected subnets) continue to be charged.

To restore access, [top up your balance](/balance-and-payments/manage/top-up-balance.mdx).

If you do not top up your balance within 14 days, all virtual machines and other resources will be deleted and cannot be recovered.

## Prices \{#prices}

You can view resource prices and estimate the cost of using DRaaS using the calculator at [selectel.ru](https://selectel.ru/prices/).

The cost of DRaaS consists of the cost of public cloud resources:

* vCPU and RAM;
* disks;
* Edge gateways;
* IP addresses;
* number of days of operation in the cloud during a disaster.

## View consumption \{#view-consumption}

You can view consumption of all public cloud resources, including DRaaS resources, in the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/vmware/consumption/infrastructure): in the top menu, click **Products** → **VMware-based Cloud** → **Consumption**, see the [VMware-based Public Cloud Payment Model and Prices](/public-cloud/about/payment.mdx#view-consumption).

## Accounting documents \{#reporting-documents}

After being charged for DRaaS usage, you can [obtain accounting documents](/balance-and-payments/accounting-documents.mdx).
