Transfer a domain to another project or account
You can transfer a domain to another project or another account.
Transfer a domain to another project

In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Domains.

In the domain menu select Transfer to another project.

Select the project to which you want to transfer the domain.

Click Transfer.
Transfer a domain to another account
When transferring to another account, the domain administrator details will be deleted; you will need to fill them out again.
If you want to transfer a domain between your accounts without changing the administrator, create a ticket.
1. Transfer the domain in the current owner's account

In the control panel, log in to the account where the domain is located.

On the top menu, click Products and select Domains.

In the domain menu, select Change Administrator.

Enter the project ID from the account to which you want to transfer the domain. You can copy the project ID in the Control panel: on the top menu, click Products → Domains → open the projects menu (the name of the current project) → in the project line, click .

Click Confirm. The domain status will change to
CHANGE CONTACT. When the new owner accepts the domain in their account, the domain will disappear from the list.
2. Accept the domain in the new owner's account
In the new owner's account, provide the details of the new domain administrator; this can be an individual, including a sole proprietor, or a legal entity.

In the Control panel, log in to the new owner's account.

On the top menu, click Products and select Domains.

Open the domain page.

If you have already entered administrator data for another domain, click Select Administrator, select an administrator from the list, and proceed to step 8. If the option to select an administrator is unavailable, check and update the administrator data.

If you need to enter the data of a new administrator, click New Administrator.

Select the administrator type — Individual / Sole Proprietor.

Enter the administrator details:
7.1. Enter contact information: country of citizenship, phone number, and email.
7.2. Enter personal data:
- for individuals: full name, date of birth;
- for sole proprietors: full name, date of birth, Tax ID.
7.3. Select the type of identity document:
- for residents of the Russian Federation — passport, international passport, military ID;
- for non-residents of the Russian Federation — passport or ID card.
7.4. Enter the identity document details:
- for passport: series, number, issue date, division code, and issuing authority;
- for international passport: series, number, issue date, expiration date, and issuing authority;
- for military ID: number, date of issue, issuing authority;
- for ID card: number, issue date, expiration date, and issuing authority.
7.5. Enter the registration address: postal code, region or area, city or locality, district, street, house, building, block/corps, and apartment.

Select the I agree to the processing of personal data in accordance with the Policy checkbox.

Click Accept Domain. The domain will appear in the Domains section.
Once the administrator change is complete, the domain status in the Domains section will change to
ACTIVE. You will receive a notification via the email address provided for the domain administrator. -
If the domain resource records are stored in Selectel DNS hosting, create a ticket to transfer them to the new account. In the ticket, specify:
- the name or ID of the zone with the domain records, which you can copy in the Control panel: in the top menu, click Products → DNS Hosting → zone page;
- the project ID where the zone is located, which you can copy in the Control panel: in the top menu, click Products → DNS Hosting → open the projects menu (the name of the current project) → in the project line, click ;
- the project ID specified during the domain transfer in step 4.

If NS servers of a third-party hosting were specified for the domain, they will automatically change to Selectel NS servers. To delegate control over resource records to a third-party hosting again, change the NS servers.
