Delegate a domain to third-party hosting

When you register a domain in Selectel or transfer it from another registrar, management of the domain’s resource records is automatically delegated to Selectel DNS hosting. If you want to manage domain resource records via third-party DNS hosting, you need to delegate the domain — change the domain’s NS servers to that hosting provider’s NS servers.

Change NS servers

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Domains.

  2. In the domain menu, select Edit NS servers.

  3. Enter the NS server names; you must specify at least two servers.

  4. Optional: if you want to specify another NS server, click Add NS server and enter its name.

  5. Click Save. Changes will propagate to caching servers within 72 hours.
